We hope you come in this February to get rid of your winter blues and welcome March Madness!

“it’s that time…”

Last year you voted us, Donaylle Nicole Hair Studio as your BEST SALON in the area! If you had to go back, would you nominate us again?… We hope so because now is your chance!

This year the people are allowed to nominate their favorites for the People’s Choice voting in February again this year. The nomination period runs from Monday, January 18th through Saturday January 30th 2016. Then the top nominations from each subcategory are to be voted on as the 2016 People’s Choice. This will allow ours readers to be involved with the whole selection process leading up to the final winners of the 2016 People’s Choice.

“Couples’ Choice”

Last year the salon received the WeddingWire‬ Couples’ Choice Award® for 2015, and guess what? This year we got it again, as determined by reviews from our clients! The Couples’ Choice Awards recognizes our business as amongst the top 5% of wedding professionals nationwide. What a pleasure! 2016

The WeddingWire Couples’ Choice Awards® 2016 recognizes the top 5% of local Wedding Professionals from the WeddingWire Network throughout the United States and abroad that demonstrate excellence in quality, service, responsiveness and professionalism. Unlike other awards in which winners are selected by the organization, the WeddingWire Couples’ Choice Awards® are awarded solely based on the reviews from over 1.2 million newlyweds. Awards are determined by a combination of excellence in four factors: overall rating (quality), total number of reviews (quantity), review performance from 2015 (recency), and consistency of reviews from year to year (consistency).

“Unleash Your Inner Glow”

Try this one on for size: an excerpt from Chapter 4 on how to have a sunnier existence.

“What we think about and what we talk about can have a huge impact on our lives. Therefore, you can assume that it will serve us well to learn to focus. We need to pay attention to what thoughts are going through our heads and what words are coming out of our mouths.
When you catch yourself having a negative thought, change it! When you want an indication of how you are doing with this, pay attention to how your body feels. If you feel great, you can assume you succeeded in getting your Mind Right!

EXERCISE
Pay attention to how you feel.
STOP!

  • Start with your breathing. Is it fast, slow, deep, shallow, or balanced?
  • Work down to the neck and shoulders. Is there any tension? Are there knots or pains?
  • How about your arms and legs? Do they feel heavy, light, strong, weak, sore, or tired?
  • Are you tired right now? If so, why? Do you need a twenty- minute nap or did you not sleep well last night? Did you eat too much heavy food?
  • Are you thirsty?
  • How does your heart feel? Is it beating normally, or is it racing?
  • What is your flexibility like? If you bend down, can you touch the floor easily?
  • What is your balance like? If you stand on one foot, how long before you fall over?
  • What about your gut? Is it bloated, crampy, or burning?
  • When you look at your hands, feet, or ankles, do they appear swollen due to holding excess fluid?

[]We do not have anything going on with our bodies that was not caused by something. Plug in and [really pay attention to how your body feels]. Once we know how we feel physically, it will be easier to access how we are doing mentally and emotionally.”

I would love to hear your observations after trying this exercise. Signing off!
